OPERNWELT is the most widely-read and influential music magazine in German-speaking Europe; for more than forty years its lively reports and reviews, essays, profiles and picture features have made it one of the most highly-regarded German cultural publications with shapers of opinion in the opera capitals of the world. The magazine's main focus is opera but it also takes a keen interest in the related arts from dance theatre through musicals to the visual arts. Each issue's articles are supplemented by indispensable information for the operagoer: premiere dates, opera house programs, news of international productions and festivals and a regular CD review section and 20.000 readers will see one issue.

The magazine appears each month with an average of 72 pages and 100 photographs. To mark the start of the new season the yearbook appears as a supplement to the October issue - summarising the highlights of the previous year, giving an overview of what's to come, picking out the most important singers, musicians, directors and costume and scenic designers and setting opera firmly in its full cultural and social significance.

Magazine and yearbook have a circulation of 10.000 copies.
